This one time, when my oldest daughter was still in her first week of Kindergarten, I made a fancy, Pinterest-y lunch. These are pizza lollipops on martini skewers. I thought the event should be recorded for posterity.
Very cute. The most excitement my kids got in their sandwiches was that I had a circular press from the Pampered Chef that compressed them into an enclosed circle. Such a waste of crust though…
Oh, fun. I know Pinterest has created a whole new level of expectations from wedding planning to Halloween decor to kids’ birthday parties. I didn’t realize it made it’s way to kids’ lunches too!
Oh, you should see some of the stuff parents pack! Cutting the sandwiches into shapes is now so passé. Fortunately, a lot of the kids at Emma’s school just bring a bag of chips and a Hi-C pouch, so my sandwich and fruit looks pretty good in comparison.
wow! How do you even find the time?!!

Haha! Yes, mine get nothing quite so creative now. Pretty much every day it’s a sandwich, some fruit, and a small treat.
