Hi, I’m Nicole. I’m the writer behind Where the Heart Is. I live in Maryland with my husband and 4 children, ages 10, 9, 7, and 3. We also have two dogs who protect our home from some ubiquitous danger only they can see.
My freelance writing and editing business serves marketers who want readable, clickable content that drives engagement, growth, and sales. I specialize in the health, parenting, and marketing niches. Because of my thorough and efficient research skills, I’ve also written for businesses on a wide range of other topics as well.
In addition, I write for a number of high profile publications including magazines and newspapers around the country. My work has appeared in Today’s Parent, Crixeo, Grok Nation, Chesapeake Family LIFE, the Baltimore Sun, and many blogs and websites. Check out my portfolio here.
Examples of content that I can write for you include:
- Blog posts
- Marketing materials
- White papers
- Newsletters
- E-mail campaigns
- Success stories
- Anything else that might help you grow your list, advance your mission, and bring in money.
If you are interested in growing your nonprofit donor base or increasing your business revenue, check out my business page or subscribe to my writing and marketing newsletter. You’ll get access to my free, premium content for subscribers only plus writing and marketing tips sent straight to your inbox. (I promise I will not abuse your email! I send my newsletter about once a week, with occasional extra emails thrown in when I have something important to say.)

He he. Great page! I have a near 15 lb cat that spots danger only she can see as well. But she does nothing to protect us, she just stares at it until we’re so weirded out we have to leave the room 🙂

Ah kids and fiction… my combination also. So, where do you post your fiction, or do you post it?

Hey! Thanks for stopping by! I don’t post my fiction online. (I’ve only ever written novels.) But one of my books, Women Like Us, is in the ABNA quarterfinals right now. You can download the excerpt for free at: http://goo.gl/bPM7yJ if you’re interested.

I will definitely have a look… much respect for anyone who sits down and writes a novel.

Writer/mother.
There is no nobler “occupation” than that. And few that let you wear a feather boa 😉

LOL! Thanks! Yes, the feather boas are a definite perk of the job. 🙂
